Community Service
Kids for Others
As a school dedicated to creative, loving, respectful, compassionate, and empathetic students who are dedicated to justice and peace, St. Francis Xavier School holds the Ignatian principle of service to others in utmost regards. All St. Francis Xavier students participate in Christian service projects either at the voluntary or mandatory level. Jesuits have a strong commitment to serving the poor and the needy and Christian service projects are an excellent opportunity for students to live the principle of AMDG “for the greater glory of God”. Guiding Questions
Students are encouraged to perform as many hands on ministries as possible. Fundraising activities include student involvement and or sacrifice. Voluntary school-wide activities involve food and baby supply drives for St. Vincent de Paul, and drives to help those suffering from natural disasters. Mandatory participation in service projects is required for eighth grade students. Seventh and eight grade students also participate in the Arrupe Project.
