Capital Campaign

Over nearly 100 years, St. Francis Xavier has grown into a thriving, mission-driven community where strong academics, vibrant parish life, and a deep sense of belonging go hand in hand. Families are drawn here not only for educational excellence, but for a place where faith, character, and purpose are formed. Today, we are building on these strengths to deepen our identity and prepare our community for the future.

Our Community

St. Francis Xavier Jesuit Parish and School are rooted in the Catholic tradition and the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Our parish community lives this faith through worship, formation, and service. Whether at Mass, in the classroom, or in service to the community, faith is at the heart of all we do. Over nearly 100 years, St. Francis Xavier has grown into a thriving, mission-driven parish where vibrant parish life and a deep sense of belonging provide the foundation for all our ministries. Within that parish life, our school plays a vital role— supporting families, nurturing academic excellence, and helping young people integrate faith, character, and purpose shaping them into kids for others. Today, we are building on these strengths to deepen our identity and prepare our community for the future.

Our Challenges

As our community continues to grow, our facilities are stretched beyond their intended use. This limits how effectively we can support vibrant worship, faith formation, community life, and student learning. At the same time, the realities of our climate and the evolving needs of all members of our parish – from our youngest child to our cherished seniors – highlight the importance of creating safe, flexible, and mission-centered spaces.

Our Plan

As St. Francis Xavier approaches milestones – the Parish turns 100 years in 2028, and the School celebrated 90 years in 2026 – we are mindful of generations of the faithful who have formed a deep appreciation for our facilities, formation and practice of the faith. Guided by strategic plans created during the last two years, and shaped by a collaborative process involving parishioners, parents, parish leadership, staff, and faculty, we have identified priorities that will strengthen our mission and better serve our growing community. Each project responds to a clear need while advancing our vision for the future.

Proposed School Projects
Cafeteria & Scholar Center | $6 Million

Our school campus lacks adequate space for students to gather comfortably during meals, and key facilities like the gymnasium are used beyond their intended purpose. At the same time, academic support services and innovative learning spaces are spread across campus, limiting how effectively we can serve all learners. This new building will address both needs in a comprehensive and lasting way.

School Welcome Center | $500,000

Our school entrance does not reflect the warmth of our community, and we lack space for gathering and meeting with families. A dedicated Welcome Center will create a more inviting entrance.

Proposed Parish Projects
Enhance the Sunday Experience | $3 Million

As our has grown, elements of our church – completed in 1959 – no longer meet the needs of today’s families. To create a more welcoming and prayerful environment for all, we will:

  • Replace pews, kneelers, and the underlying floor covering, taking care to preserve decorative seals that adorn several pews.
  • Upgrade lighting to enhance beauty and visibility.
  • Relocate and expand restrooms inside the church to make them more accessible.
  • Add a flexible room that can serve families and as a bridal preparation room.
  • Restore underutilized spaces to their original use and beauty, including two of the original confessionals and a prayer rotunda.
  • Renovate the current AV room to become a comforting area for infants and young children.
  • Install a ramp for accessibility to the sanctuary.
Youth and Family Center | $2 Million

Teens today need a dedicated space where they can gather, build relationships and grow in faith outside of school and home. A new Youth Center will provide a welcoming and purpose-built environment for youth ministry and community. The Center will also address the growing ministry needs of our parish families.

Parish Welcome and Accompaniment Center | $500,000

As our parish continues to grow, the needs of our parishioners continue to evolve – meaning the original design for the Parish Center needs revitalization. A redesign of our existing lobby and lower level is needed to create a space that is more welcoming for parishioners and better addresses their needs.

Shade Over Church Courtyard | $500,000

Our courtyard is a natural gathering space, especially after Mass, but extreme heat limits its use for much of the year. Adding a thoughtfully designed shade structure will create a more comfortable, year-round environment where families can gather and connect. This improvement will help transform the courtyard into a true hub of community life.

Establish a Capital Reserve Fund | $1 Million

Unexpected repairs and long-term maintenance needs are a reality for any parish. Establishing a capital reserve fund with monies to be invested in a brokerage account at the Catholic Community Foundation will provide stability and reduce the need for special collections for emergency fundraising. The funds would be professionally managed, and investments adhere to the ethical guidelines of Catholic social teaching.
